- Understand how to formulate a research specification
- Research formulation: aims and objectives; rationale for selection;
- Methodology for data collection and analysis;
- Literature review;
- Data analysis and data interpretation
- Evaluation of outcomes
- Research presentation
- Conclusions and future direction
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for the module requires students to commit 150 learning hours, of this there will be 38 hours of class support and 112 hours of independent and self directed study.

Lectures, Seminars/tutorials.
Team work within workshops
Research based tasks, e.g. information searches, surveys etc.
Independent study using learning materials
Interpretation of court cases and statutes

For each topic, students will engage in preparation and reading prior to each seminar. Students will be asked to share their reading of the topic through discussion with their peer group, present their findings to the seminar group and provide feedback to other students. Students, in groups, will be involved in mock courts to debate judicial cases.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Details - A case study report of 1500 words and its presentation weighted at 100%.

Case study and its report (Learning outcomes 1,2,3,and 4)

To pass this module student must obtain 40% marks.
