Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for this module requires students to commit 150 learning hours composing 45 contact hours and 105 independent study hours.
Lecturers will provide students with the broad overview of the indicative content of the module. Support activities will include any combination of the following: individual and group activities, discussions, case study analysis site visits, videos and guest speakers.

Module Indicative Content
In this module, the students will be guided into understanding the important aspects of recreational tourism namely arts, entertainment, heritage and sports. They will be exposed to the growth and development of this form of tourism and to the policy initiatives and current management practices as well. Certain focus will be directed to the reasons of the popularity of this form of tourism to both decision makers and tourists.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Details :- A group assignment that includes :
The Group based oral presentation, weighted at 50%, will assess Learning Outcomes 2 and 4.
The Group based written report of not more than 2500 words, weighted at 50%. This will assess Learning Outcomes 1, 2 and 3
