Module Details
INDICATIVE CONTENT
The world is increasingly digital and the level of skills needed in order to understand that are rising.
This module will give you a broad introduction to some of those essential digital skills and give you the tools to help yourself improve your skills in the future.
The combination of being introduced to the ever-changing world of digital alongside a reflective approach to learning to learn will work together to give you the tools you will need to stay up to date in a field which is constantly changing.
ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
The class test will focus on the key areas of contemporary digital skills including the ability to handle and present data, compile and edit written information and create rudimentary graphical elements. This will be done through a mainstream digital package. (LO1)
The personal development plan will provide students a space to reflect on their own work and the way they work both within the digital realm and beyond. It will allow them to set out their own goals within the framework of their course as well as for future careers. This will be structured in order to provide students with a living document which they can keep up to date and can help them with their academic journey at the university. (LO2 & 3)
LEARNING STRATEGIES
There will be a mixture of workshops, small group work, self-development and exploration in a classroom setting and individually supported classroom sessions.

1. Demonstrate the skills required to communicate, collaborate, and share information in a contemporary digital context. Knowledge and Understanding

2. Demonstrate the ability to perform a skills audit (including digital skills) and prepare a personal development plan giving consideration to employability enhancement and future career goals. Analysis

3. Reflect on your progress on the course so far and place your achievements in the context of how they contribute to attaining further goals in your studies and beyond. Reflection
