Module Indicative Content
The module will cover:-
1. Introduction to the design, construction and application of various electronic and electro-mechanical musical instruments and the principles of sound as electricity.
2. Exploration of the physical properties of these instruments and analyse acoustic and vibration aspects inherent in their construction, usage and sound production.
3. Analysis of various instrument technologies with examples from electro acoustic and electric instrument families.

Module Additional Assessment Details
100% in course assessment comprising of:-

1. 2 x 1-hour on-line assessment - weighting 70% assessing learning outcomes 1and 3.
2. 1 practical laboratory session weighting 30% assessing learning outcome 2.
