Introduction to the different elements of film soundtracks
Mixing and mastering in stereo and 5.1 surround.
Module Additional Assessment Details
100% In course assessment assessing Learning Outcomes 1, 2 and 3 comprising:-
A practical assignment comprising stereo and surround soundtracks weighted at 60%.
A report length 1800 words weighted at 40%.
Module Learning Strategies
3 hours per week lecture / practical x 8 weeks (groups of 25)
3 hours per week practical x 4 weeks (groups of 25)
Technical instruction on techniques for film sound recording equipment (1x 2 hours), studio preparation for ADR sessions (1x 2 hours)
