University Studio complex, including recording/control rooms and all associated equipment including digital and analogue mixing desks and recording equipment.

You will become familiar with the application of Studio Hardware through a series of practical studio based sessions. Including multi track recording and the use of analogue and digital studio equipment. You will be introduced to the recording studio environment including various studio techniques of mixing, microphone placement and recording.

A preproduction plan (usually group work) of approx 200 words assessing Learning Outcomes 1 and 2 weighted at 50%.
An individual appraisal of the recording session of approx 2000 words assessing Learning Outcome 3 weighted at 50%.
