Comprising:
1. Creation and performance of a 20 minute live set centred around computer based technology incorporating room for improvisation and live control with supporting written evaluation (1,500 words) assessing learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3 (50%)

2. Creation of a 20 minute live set incorporating alternative and exploratory uses of technology to achieve an effective live performance including a written evaluation (1,500 words) documenting the development of your set assessing learning outcomes 3, 4 and 5 (50%) (Final assessment)
Indicative Content
Prepare and implement two live performance using computer based tools and associated hardware.
Incorporate prior knowledge gained in level 4 into a live environment. This will involve using MIDI, audio and audio effects processing.
Real-time time stretching, granular synthesis and audio warping.
Improvisation methods for use in a live situation.

Learning Strategies
3 hours per week lecture/practical over 24 weeks in groups of 20.
Technical skills instruction. 2 hours in total (groups of 4) to cover signal flow and routing for live use.
