An examination of 2 hours which will assess Learning Outcomes 1, 2 and 3. (100%)
INDICATIVE CONTENT
Acoustic environment, absorption and reverberation times, effects of noise, near and far fields, performance space acoustics, specification of sound systems for acoustic spaces.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
2 hours per week lecture x 12 weeks
1 hour per week tutorial (groups of 30) x 12 weeks
1 x 2 hour (live sound/P.A. system) practical (groups of 4)
3 hours student contact per week
RESOURCES
Suitable software, laptop acoustic based measuring equipment.
SPECIAL ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Students should have previously studied CE00140-5, Principles of Acoustics or equivalent.
