INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module looks at the effects of interior lighting and analyses the ways that these effects may be achieved using technical lighting information. The installation of audio visual systems and their associated cable management will also be investigated. The communication of technical information through drawings and schematic diagrams will be studied, as will the selection and visual representation of particular lighting and audio visual systems.
Formatively, you will produce a Lux table that demonstrates lighting requirements for a specific location. Summative assessment will include the development of a lighting/audio - visual specification for a designated brief which will in turn lead to the production of lighting, AV and electrical plans. You will provide a rationale for the scheme and presentation boards will be used to present the lighting scheme. Achieving a specific lighting effect can be challenging and assessment will focus on the application of lighting and electrical product knowledge, learning and the ability to create a solution to a specific brief.
