Specialist knowledge will be delivered by a diverse team of staff and visiting guest lecturers with a variety of relevant backgrounds and experience. Relevant site visits may be employed at appropriate stages.
Module Indicative Content
Students will learn to apply the basic principles of light to a lighting design suitable for residential architecture in all areas of internal living; this will lead to a core competence in lighting design for residential interior design. Also an appreciation of commercial lighting design techniques required to satisfy some retail environments, small office, reception areas, board rooms and transitional spaces (such as corridors). An appreciation of designing for commercial spaces such as bars and restaurants will further broaden the scope of work for the future interior design practitioner.
