ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Final Assessment- Portfolio 100%

Students will submit a portfolio of evidence carried out in the workplace including a research-based project related to the placement agreed with the tutor. The portfolio, equivalent to 5000 words, will include a reflective journal, and may include video or audio files or written reports. Learning outcomes 1-4.
INDICATIVE CONTENT
You are expected to complete a minimum of 80 hours of work experience during your programme of study. As part of this remit you are to produce a research study within the industry that includes project management, health and safety within the workplace and the development of a Personal development Portfolio.

The research study can include any aspect of the students work but must include clear aims, objectives and negotiated and agreed outcomes with the tutor, student and employer.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
Delivery is by distance learning with a comprehensive resource handbook on the VLE and available to download containing topic information, example questions and email and telephone support being available through our online VLE known as the Virtual Learning Studio (VLS), individual tutorials and student forum. Specialist knowledge will be delivered by staff through video input. Study is by independent learning with tutor support of approximately 6 hours per module but students may access tutors whenever they choose within the working week 9-5 BST.
