INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will introduce you to Microsoft Project and will analyse how to manage a project from initial enquiry to handover. It will emphasise the importance of record keeping and time management and will provide a structure which will aid in employability. You will understand how and when to sign off projects, the marketing process and the importance of the design contract. You will learn how to work with timesheets and issues sheets and have a clear understanding of the record keeping required to avoid litigation. The module will cover accounts, the invoicing process and financial record keeping. You will consider portfolio construction, what to leave out and how to ensure a flow in order to demonstrate skills to clients.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
Delivery is in studio through a range of live projects delivered by NDA tutors and supported by qualified designers. Information will be delivered through short input sessions individually, in small groups or to the whole cohort, followed immediately by further study and followed up with learning checks to determine understanding. You will work on projects to develop the requisite skills both individually and within small groups recording the progress of these projects from initial enquiry to handover.
