Module Learning Strategies
Delivery is by distance learning with a comprehensive course handbook, examples of best practice, project templates and telephone and email support being available as necessary through our online VLE, individual and group tutorials, online forums and bulletin boards. Specialist knowledge will be delivered by a diverse team of staff and visiting guest lecturers with a variety of relevant backgrounds and experience. Relevant field trips may be employed at appropriate stages.

Module Indicative Content
The Module provides an overview of the interior design process relative to hotels. It looks at how hotels attract their specific markets through interior design, brand values and corporate identity. The Module also considers the design of the traditional hotel chain, the 'Grand Hotel' the spa hotel and the rise of the boutique hotel. The Module develops students' understanding of client/customer relationships and how these may be strengthened through interior design. The Module culminates in the production of a design for a specific hotel interior
