Module Indicative Content
This module is designed to provide knowledge and understanding of human anatomy and physiology and serve as a foundation for applying knowledge to the practice skills that will be acquired as part of the competences required in the Assistant Practitioner role.

An introductory overview of the structure, physiology and organisation within the human body. Exploring the lifespan development and healthcare needs from pre-natal to end of life.

Consideration of the body systems including, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, musculoskeletal, endocrine, nervous, gastrointestinal, lymphatic, reproductive, integumentary system Consideration of the role of homeostasis in the physiology of the systems.

A 45 minute Multiple Choice Examination (addressing all LO's) 100% weighting

Formative feedback will be given during class discussions, individual and/or group tutorials and seminars and regular class tests.
