Module Indicative Content
Basic anatomy and physiology across the lifespan
Explore health as a concept, using contemporary theoretical models/approaches for example salutogenesis, PERMA model, health determinants
Factors impacting on physical and mental health over the life span, such as developmental, socio-economic and environmental challenges.
Taking account of differences between individuals and groups, these factors may include positive attachment, resilience, healthy aging, preparing for a good death, smoking, physical activity, substance misuse, sexual health
Asset-based and strength-based approaches used by individuals and communities, to improve all dimensions of health and aim to reduce health inequalities.
