ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Practice assessment:
Nursing Associate Practice for part 1 will assess your performance across platforms 1-6 of the standards of proficiency. This assessment will take place in clinical practice. This is done through PAD 1 DOCUMENT which is a record of your progress in completing the NMC Standards of proficiency for nursing associates (learning outcome 1).
To ensure that you are practising with an increasing level of independence whilst under supervision, your performance will be measured against the following criteria.
Knowledge – you must have a developing knowledge base to support safe and effective practice and provide applicable evidence to support your care giving.
Skills – you must be able to utilise an increasing range of skills to deliver safe, person centred care under supervision in a range of contexts.
Attitudes and Values – you must be able to demonstrate a developing understanding of the professional roles and responsibilities of the multidisciplinary team and identify where you fit in. You should maximise any opportunities to extend your own knowledge as they present.
The practice assessment document assesses achievement of required NMC proficiencies for Nursing Associates (LO1, 2 & 3).
The Episode of Care is required to evidence competency in practice. This takes the form of an integrated approach to individual, person centred care for a period of time during one shift and is assessed and graded in practice (LO2, 3 &4).
ALL PARTS MUST BE PASSED.
