INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module aims to enable students to develop a range of work-based competences linked to the skills for health national occupational standards for health and social care, appropriate to their specific areas of practice and reflect on how they have put these skills into practice. It will also prepare learners to make the transition from learner to Assistant Practitioner. It will require the learner to reflect upon their learning throughout the programme and construct an action plan to identify future personal and professional development.

ASSESSMENT DETAILS
1) Competency Framework Document ( 0% Pass/Fail) contributing to meeting LO 1,2 4
2) A verbal case presentation highlighting how the role of Assistant Practitioner had contributed to the care provided to an individual and/or family member(s) (Not exceeding 20 minutes). 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (weighted 80%)
3) A 500 word action plan identifying areas for continuing professional development. LO 7 (weighted 20%)
Competency Framework will be linked to a Profile will contain: profile of evidence related to competencies underpinned by the National Occupational Standards and KSF and be signed off to internalisation level of Steinaker and Bell's experiential taxonomy. (Addressing LO's 1 and 2) pass/fail
Additional Assessment Details (include formative feedback / assessment):
Formative assessment will include:
- Keeping of a reflective journal which will form the basis of work based and classroom discussions
- Individual and group tutorials
- Feedback from clinical mentor regarding competency development
