Undertake an episode of care which is assessed in clinical practice
The practice assessment document assesses achievement of required NMC proficiencies for Part 2 (LO1 & 3).
The Episode of Care is required to evidence competency in practice. This takes the form of an integrated approach to individual, person centred care for a period of time during one shift and is assessed and graded in practice (LO2) Formative assessment of episode of practice on placement.

This module will focus on simulation-based learning to consolidate practical skills developed across year 2 related to common clinical practice scenarios.
WEB DESCRIPTOR
This module aims to build your knowledge, experience and skills around mental health nursing care with a specific focus upon practical skills and reflective practice. The module links to practice learning period 6. You will undertake study related to the underpinning theory around common practical skills related to mental health nursing care alongside having the opportunity to develop those practical skills by undertaking simulated practice within the University Skills and Simulation Labs. You will continue to develop an understanding of evidence-based practice and practical skills that are required to fulfil the role of the mental health nurse.
