Module Additional Assessment Details
A Viva Voce examination (max 30mins) based on a profile of evidence selected from the student portfolio, which demonstrates evidence of learning outcomes 1,2,3,4 and 5. This evidence must include three pieces of written reflection, which will be brought to the viva voce exam. From these, two pieces will be chosen by the examiner for discussion during the examination.

Formative assessment will include:
Presentation of critical reflection on practice during action learning sets
Peer assessment feedback
Presentation and review of portfolio to personal tutor
Discussion of issues related to reflectice practice

Enrolment on the RN/ BSc or Dip Nursing Practice
Successful completion of NMC outcomes for entry to branch programmes

Resource management and budgeting.
Accountability for delegation of care
Workload and time management and prioritisation.
Developing the practice learning environment. The qualified nurses teaching role and standards. Preceptorship / clinical supervision

Communication including:
Advocacy and negotiation
Challenging practice - prevention and management of aggression abd violence
Reporting adverse incidents
Concerns and complaints management, conveying unwelcome news, conflict resolution
Interprofessional working - safe transitions/transfer of care, protection of vulnerable children and adults sharing specilaist knowledge.

Professional, legal and ethical:
Current legal and ethical issues in practice
Record keeping - legal issues

Professional development including:
Self assessment, managing lifelong learning, critical reflection and critically reflective practice,.
Preparation for professional registration including the development of curriculum vitae and job applications, interview technique, portfolio presentation, managing continuing professional development.
