Viva voce (100% of marks) of 25 minutes based on an unseen case scenario in relation to hypothetical patient with a minor injury.
(addressing LO's 1, 2 and 3)
Proficiency document (Pass/Fail) Clinical portfolio of learning which will demonstrate competency at the level of internalisation (Steinaker and Bell Experiential Taxonomy) in all relevant areas: this will require a signature against all clinical learning hours. (15 hours supervised clinical practice) (addressing LO's 2 and 3)

Both elements of assessment must be passed for successful completion

Principles of clinical assessment, underlying physiology, examination and management of children & adults with upper and lower limb injuries, wounds, ENT complaints/injuries, eye injuries, dental emergencies, head and neck injuries, back injuries; history taking & consultation skills; clinical decision making; clinical guidelines and protocols; professional accountability, autonomy and competence; documentation; patient group directions; principles of radiographic interpretation for children and adults: child development; legal & ethical issues pertaining to children including consent & confidentiality
