Clinical portfolio of learning which will demonstrate competency in all relevant areas; this will require a signature against all clinical learning hours. (Pass/Fail) - learning outcomes 1,2,4,8
A 3000 word case study (70% of marks) Learning outcomes 2,3,4,5,7 and 8
A 15 minute viva voce determining the treatment pathway for a hypothetical patient with defined signs and symptoms (30% 0f marks) - learning outcomes 2,4,and 6

Module Indicative Content
Professional issues and legal framework for practice; clinical decision making and diagnostic criteria; pathophysiology relating to minor illness and minor injury; treatment strategies and care pathways; empowerment and patient education; principles in the management of vulnerable patients/clients; applying the principles of assessment and history taking.

Classroom lecture/discussion (50%); groupwork (10%); seminars (20%); case studies (15%); tutorials (5%); clinical practice sessions (30 hours within independent study).
