Module Additional Assessment Details
A seminar presentation of 30 minutes (plus 10 mins max for questions) based on a leadership and management challenge within your role or area of work. Key themes of leadership such as change management; teams and team building; conflict management; decision making; and motivation for example will be incorporated and presented in the seminar presentation. 100% Weighting - 3000 word equivalent (addresses all LO's)

Additional Assessment Details: Formative Assessment:
Group tutorials will provide the opportunity for students to present specific topics in small groups and obtain tutor feedback

Module Indicative Content
The module content will facilitate in depth discussion and critical evaluation of issues underpinning leadership practice reflecting the three themes highlighted in the current / most appropriate National Leadership Framework.
Contemporary leadership theories, leadership qualities, self awareness and visionary leadership.

Service delivery for example clinical governance, team building, responsibility and accountability, partnership working and empowerment

Setting direction, including political awareness, leading and managing change, decision making and horizon scanning, organisational culture and concepts of power.
