Summative Assessment:
A case study 2500 words weighted at 100% (addressing all LO's)
A systematic evaluative and reflective case study of a client or client group from practice. With particular reference to the assessment, implementation, management and evaluation of their wound management in the context of the holistic practice.
Formative Assessment:

Module Indicative Content
This module will: provide an opportunity for students to explore the theory of wound management to support personal reflection and clinical practice, to facilitate an awareness of applying research based findings in order to change practice. Students will also consider the impact of professional judgement and accountability when managing acute and chronic wounds.

The module will introduce you to a wide range of nursing roles providing care in the community and will enable you to explore key principles which are important to consider when working with individuals, families and communities. This includes the requirement for community nurses to be involved with early intervention and preventative health care, as well as collaborating with a wide range of services to provide patient centred care.
