Module Details
LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Demonstrates the achievement of NMC Future Nurse: standards of proficiency for Part 3.

2. Critically analyse and reflect on the role of the adult nurse when leading and improving the quality of patient care.

3. Critically analyse and apply evidence-based knowledge to a range of skills required for leading adult nursing practice and for improving the safety and quality of care.
ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Practice Assessment document. Achieve all proficiencies and outcomes within the practice assessment document (PAD) for part 3

Undertake an episode of care assessment within the practice area.

The practice assessment document assesses achievement of required NMC proficiencies for Part 3 (LO1 & 2).

The Episode of Care is required to evidence competency in practice. This takes the form of an integrated approach to individual, person centred care for a period of time during one shift and is assessed and graded in practice (LO3) Formative assessment and feedback opportunity for episode of care in practice.

WEB DESCRIPTOR
This module aims to build your knowledge, experience and skills around adult nursing care with a specific focus upon practical skills and reflective practice. The module links to practice learning period 9. You will undertake study related to the underpinning theory around common practical skills related to adult nursing care alongside having the opportunity to develop those practical skills by undertaking simulated practice within the University Skills and Simulation Labs. You will demonstrate an understanding of evidence-based practice and practical skills that are required to fulfil the role of the adult nurse.
