Detailed analysis of a contemporary issue in health care, including an evaluation of the implications for practice/role development (3500 words) 100% to assess all LOs.

Module Indicative Content
This module will provide a forum for discussion of the latest issues in health care, thus providing students the opportunity to examine fundamental challenges and opportunities in their specialist area of practice. Issues for exploration will be negotiated between the postgraduate student group and the module leader. The following provide a general guideline to the types of subject that may be covered eg:
Clinical Governance; Involvement of carers and users; Inequalities in health care, NHS Modernisation, Ethics and Consent in health care, Mental Health issues, Quality of life, Quality assurance.

Issues will be examined from a variety of perspectives in order to recognise opportunities, clarify constraints and determine potential implications for practice/role development.
