Formative assessment draft work to be reviewed during tutorials. Electronic feedback. To guide student towards final summative assessment

Module Indicative Content
This module will enable the student to develop the leadership skills and knowledge required to support people with dementia and improve service provision. It will explore and consider the micro and macro aspects of care delivery and provision which enhance the care experience for people with dementia.

National and international factors contributing to effective leadership and management in the context of dementia care leadership.
Strategies to examine critically reflect and analyse self and team management and will broaden their understanding and application of the leadership role in practice.
Leadership strategies to support person centred and relationship centred care provision in different environments.
Action Planning and reflective approaches to developing self and others.
Contemporary models enhanced communication will be reviewed and discussed to support practitioners in developing their own skills and analysis of care provision.
Risk and Managing Risk in complex situations will be considered, drawing upon contemporary approaches to risk management and accountability. Including partnership working with other professionals, families and carers.
Critical reflective analysis of tools for Measuring, monitoring and improving outcomes in dementia care.
