•Statutory and mandatory training (BLS, Moving & Handling, Medicines Management, Information Governance update and Infection Prevention and Control I (level two)
•Difficult conversations - Breaking bad news, distress
•Therapeutic interventions •Escalation procedures
•Deteriorating Patient•Recognise respond to and manage uncontrolled symptoms
•Infusion pumps and monitoring devices
•Signs of abuse
•Wound care
•Intravenous fluids
•Bladder and bowel care and management
•Manual evacuation
•Respiratory care and management
•Medicines management and administration
•Placement preparation and evaluation
•Numeracy and calculations
•Care of the dying
•Acute and chronic pain managemen

•The concept of spirituality and spiritual care
•Skills consolidation
•Complex care – including physical, psychological and social needs

LEARNING STRATEGIES
Experiential learning and simulation activities will be used in relation to clinical skills, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Behavioural Family Therapy.
