This module has been designed to enable you to develop an in-depth critical understanding and application of both the evidence base underpinning current nursing practice and use of the evidence, skills and approaches to delivering nursing care within the clinical environment. Leadership and management theory and techniques and re-visit and apply communication and clinical problem solving in the context of care delivery. Professional guidance and standards regarding care delivery and management. Theoretical approaches to professional transition and role progression, delegation, resilience and professional accountability.Explore philosophies of care and models of assessment and care delivery that have a recognised evidence.
ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Perform a written critical evaluation and critique of the evidence base relating to a selected clinical scenario, indicating how you use this information to guide your action in leading the planning and delivering care in a multi-disciplinary manner (assessing all learning outcomes).

You will professionally discuss how your assessment and care planning is influenced by the evidence base. From your analysis of the evidence and your assessment, you will discuss your findings and outline your management plans regarding the patient, carers and the wider members of the multidisciplinary team. Your discussion should include a reflexive exploration of the leadership and management techniques you will use and how you propose to effectively employ these to guide and influence the delivery of care.
