Practice assessment: - Completion of the practice assessment document and the ongoing record of achievement for this part (LO 1 & 3)
LO 1 is a Pass/Fail
LO 2+ 3 Episode of care X 2 -The practice assessor will assess the student completing two episodes of care in practice as directed by the practice assessment document
LO 4 Completion of written reflection. This will cover one theme from:

Platform 4. Providing and evaluating care
Platform 5. Leading and Managing Nursing Care and Working in Teams Platform 6. Improving safety and quality of care

Children’s Nursing skills and learning using simulation and Immersive Technology
Clinical Skills, activities and procedures that relate to the examination of whole-body
systems, the exploration and measurement of physical baselines and parameters for children and young people, whilst considering capacity and principles of informed consent in family centred care
Medicines Management
Pain management and assessment

Play therapy, distraction & diversion strategies, de-escalation, positive behaviour and support approaches
Mental health assessment and management of the child and young person Care of the dying child
