Indicative Content
This module introduces students to key elements necessary to understand the Old Testament. It explores the meaning of these books in relationship to their overall story and literary character. It provides a window on how these documents came to be written and collected into the Christian Bible. It examines early and contemporary ways of reading them as Christian Scripture.
Learning Strategies
Interactive lectures will involve a range of teaching methods and group work. The module requires students to engage in independent study, which will include reading and reflection.
