INDICATIVE CONTENT
Delivery of health services takes place in a dynamic environment where the workforce is constantly responding to change in health policy and changes in the care needs of the population. This module reviews the importance of leadership style and the effective use of management strategies in delivering health services in a changing context.

ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Assessment 1
Poster Presentation
Weighting: 100% (Pass/Fail)
Assesses all module learning outcomes. You will produce an Academic Poster (a single page summary of your service improvement proposal including the salient points of relevant leadership and change management theories).
You will deliver a 30-minute verbal presentation of the service improvement proposal relevant to your area of operating department practice explaining underpinning which supports the need for service improvement and exploring the key concepts of leadership and change management theories which would be utilised in the implementation of change.
Rationale: You will use relevant evidence to identify an area for service improvement and develop a proposal for implementation of change with due consideration of leadership and change management theory.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
Sessions will include synchronous and asynchronous lectures.
Discussions, independent study, group work and drop-in support sessions.
