The aim of this module is to introduce students to the range of skills and techniques essential for planning and developing their own future learning and career strategy.

Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for this module requires students to commit 150 learning hours (including assessment). This will include 24 hours of class support and 126 hours of independent and self directed study.

The class sessions will include formal lecture, student exercises, case study analysis, presentations and group discussions based on student experiences in the subject area. Students will be encouraged to integrate their work based experiences with new knowledge and skills developed in the classroom as the module progresses.

Module Additional Assessment Details
Assessment for this Module comprises three elements:

i. Completion of a Personal Development Plan, culminating in the identification of 4 - 6 personal development objectives (Learning Outcomes 1 & 3). This element is weighted at 25%

ii. Element (i) to be augmented by an individual student presentation, of 10 minutes duration (Learning Outcome 2). This element is weighted at 25%

iii. An assignment report, of 750 words, examining both objective and subjective feedback from a range of sources (Learning Outcomes 1 & 3). This element is weighted at 50%
