INDICATIVE CONTENT
To understand and apply a range of learning theories, concepts and approaches in order to build and manage effective learning environments and processes. In particular, the following:
- Definitions of knowledge. Different forms of knowledge, tacit and explicit; the importance of the Knowledge Economy
- Access to knowledge within an organisation, barriers to knowledge-sharing and learning and ways to overcome them
- Generation of knowledge through the design of different learning experiences and mechanisms
- The link between learning, knowledge and performance; linking learning outcomes to business needs.
- Identification of individual learning needs, organisational L&D needs
- Design and development of a range of inclusive learning and development activities and the advantages and disadvantages of such methods
- Stakeholders in L and D; Roles of HRD professionals, line managers, government, employers and individuals.
- Evaluation theories: Kirkpatrick, ROI
- Contemporary and future issues in the learning environment
