INDICATIVE CONTENT
Much of this module focuses on guided independent study. You will be assigned a supervisor who will invite you to regular group and/or individual tutorials in which you will discuss your proposed project using Practice as research is practice-based.
Formative feedback will be provided on the drafts that you produce.

ASSESSMENT 1: The Negotiated Project will be a maximum of 20 minutes (or equivalent) in length and will be negotiated with your supervising tutor. Where appropriate, it may also demonstrate engagement with audiences and/or outlets. [ LOs 1,2,4]
ASSESSMENT 2: The Context Report will provide a clear strategy for taking the project to market and will demonstrate that you have researched its background and context.[LOs 3,5]

These sessions, which will cover a broad range of topics relating to Page, Stage and Screen, are designed to give you insider knowledge of the Creative Industries so that you can begin to consider your own career trajectory. In line with the University’s approach to Authentic Assessment, you may choose to collaborate with external organisations and/or individuals, working to a bespoke and mutually agreed project brief.

1. Demonstrate a critical understanding of the necessary skills for becoming a creative practitioner
2. Critically select the concepts and principles relevant to your chosen field when producing original creative work
3. Implement a systematic approach to identifying markets and outlets for your creative outputs
4. Articulate a critical understanding of the methodology and organisation of project management
5. Articulate a critical reflective thinking while evaluating your process and development
