You will present a body of coursework for assessment, including:

A visual diary documenting your research [Learning Outcome 2].
Pictorial workbook/s evidencing your technical development and picture-making strategies [Learning Outcomes 1,4].
Production of a set of photographs [Learning Outcome 3].
Module Indicative Content
This module aims to equip you with a range of basic photographic skills and techniques, at the same time as beginning to develop conceptual skills and introducing you to the diversity of photographic practices. It is largely workshop and seminar based, which means that there will be a lot of demonstrations and technical instruction and that you will be intensely involved in researching and practising. Technical skills include 35mm camerawork, colour printing, and basic digital imaging. Visual and verbal presentation skills
will be developed through practice in group tutorials, seminars and group critiques.
