Module Indicative Content
This module provides an introduction to the professional photographic studio; to studio electronic flash lighting equipment and to applied techniques of lighting people and objects appropriately and safely. The module also introduces you to working with medium format film and digital cameras and an overview of the large format studio monorail and location field camera. You will be working with both film and digital imaging and the module will also introduce you to the traditional black and white photography darkroom.
Module Additional Assessment Details
You will present for assessment:
1. A portfolio of photographs that demonstrate your skill and competence in the photographic lighting of people and objects made in the studio and on location safely and working with medium format cameras and outputs (Application).
2. A technical manual that provides evidence of your understanding to the development of your practice in the studio and on location, of applied studio lighting techniques, of medium and large format cameras and images (Knowledge and Understanding)
3. A reflective account of your creative team work and performance in the collective production of a set of photographs (Working with others).
