Production and presentation of a series of photographs based upon your visual analysis [Learning Outcome 2].
Module Indicative Content
This module explores how filmmakers have responded to the experience of the city and urban life. Frequently the emphasis for film analysis relates to directorial practice; in this season of films however the emphasis is on the cinematographer who is responsible for the compositional construction of the shot. You will analyse historical and contemporary views of the city in fictional and non-fictional scenarios, and produce a body of photographs as a direct response to your close analytical viewing of a particular film.
