Module Special Admissions Requirements
You will have completed AM00187-3.
Module Indicative Content
Working within the framework set up by you in the Research project module, you will be engaged with the production and implementation of your proposal for a self-initiated programme of photographic work.
With tutorial support, you will continue the research and direction taken by the Research Project module, but this will now be focused with a much clearer sense of direction towards developing an image portfolio and resolved piece of photographic work for your final degree exhibition.
You will need to maintain an adventurous, risk-taking attitude while engaging with the realistic acknowledgement of the constraints imposed by time, space, people and institutions. You will consider your practice in relation to a potential career direction and this will inform the compilation of your portfolio and the form of your final exhibition. You will ensure that the end result of your final year's work is based as little as possible on speculation and as much as possible on the knowledge gained from trial, error and adjustment. It is very important that you continue to inform your practice through reading, research and the analysis of photographs from a number of sources.
Module Additional Assessment Details
You will present for assessment a body of work including:
Visual diaries or workbooks, documenting the research [Learning Outcomes 1,2,4].
