Module Additional Assessment Details
Case Work Presentation: Students will be required to individually prepare and present on a topic of their choice evaluating the impact of legislation, policy or practice that they have utilised in the workplace relevant to complex investigation and/or intelligence management. Presentation will be delivered by a medium of the student’s choice and to an audience of peers and academic staff. The student will be questioned by a member of the teaching team. Learning outcome 3 will be assessed.

Students will be required to take a knowledge test under examination conditions (1 hours) to test their knowledge and understanding of the key legislative, strategies and policy principles underpinning the conduct of public protection incidents/events and the response to incidents/events/ crimes on the roads network. Learning outcome 4.

The reflective diary will allow the student to critically analyse how evidence, intelligence and information is gathered and managed in a policing context. Students will show understanding of the topic and ability to critically consider how this aligns to relevant strategies, policies, procedures and legislation. This assessment will address learning outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 5.

This module allows the learner to consolidate their knowledge and understanding from year 1 before developing advanced thinking in relation to delivering a professional policing service.
