Module Learning Strategies
Formative feedback will be given on a one to one basis during tutorials.

Emphasis will be place on evaluating a piece of research which is relevant to the students work setting. Independent study will allow the student to evaluate ways in which they can access such research in the Complementary Therapy setting and consider the ways in which it could be conducted.
Module Indicative Content
In this module the student will be introduced to study skills necessary for study at HE level, These skills will include:
Conducting a literature search to include accessing texts, journals, research, publications and the Internet
Constructing a bibliography and referencing using the Harvard system
Planning and presentation of written documentation including a range of reports, essays, assignments, reflective logs and their organisation into a portfolio
Develop appropriate critical thinking skills by examining issues from a range of professional, work based and theoretical perspectives
Constructing personal development plans

A 2000 word referenced report that discusses the status of complementary therapies in contemporary society. (Covers all learning outcomes)
