Module Details
Module Additional Assessment Details
The portfolio will contain:
materials produced by the student about the module, their learning and study activities and one page action plan and 500 word action plan.

Additional Assessment Details (including formative feedback / assessment):
The portfolio will contain three sections
1. Evidence of literature searching and compiling a refernce list (LO1)
2. Academic writing - one piece of writing with feedback plus one further piece of no more than 2,000 words to demonstrate development (LO2)
3. Action plan (LO3)

Formative feedback with involve group tutorials centred on the development of a plan for their work.
Module Indicative Content
In this module the student will be introduced to study skills necessary for study at HE level. These skills will include:
How to literature search to include accessing texts, journals, research publications and the internet
How to reference using the Harvard system
Planning and presentation of written documentation including a range of reports, essays, assignments, reflective logs
Develop appropriate critical thinking skills by examining issues from a range of professional, work based and theoretical perspectives
