Module Details
Indicative Content
The module aims to provide students with an understanding of public health from the political drivers through to action to improve the health of the public. The role of Public Health organisations and how their activities have changed with changing mortality causes, changing technologies and changing social values will be examined.

Additional Assessment Details
Students will be required to complete two pieces of summative assessment:

One mid module ESSAY, of 1500 words; weighted 50% assessing LO's 2 and 3

One POSTER with oral presentation, end of module assessment; weighted 50% assessing LO 1 and 3

Students will be provided with formative assessment via:
- Tutor-led sessions and Peer-review discussion.
- Seminar sessions to develop understanding of various organisations their roles and policies.
- Workshop sessions to develop understanding of data used in public health.
