Module Additional Assessment Details
This 2,000 - 2,500 word structured assignment will justify the area of health and social care to be studied: it will identify the pathway of learning and the learning outcomes to be achieved and how these outcomes will be demonstrated.
This structured assignment will be the award pathway and therefore presented for approval at the appropriate committee
(contributes to meeting all LO's)
Formative feedback will be given via personal/group tutorials and, where appropriate seminar presentation
Module Indicative Content
The aim of this module is to introduce you to the negotiation skills and process you will need to undertake a bespoke programme of health and social care study. The module will focus on two areas of learning:
Study skills: This aspect of the module will enable you to undertake a self assessment of your negotiation and study skills, you will be looking at your own learning style and communication skills and the formation of action plans.
Negotiation skills: The negotiation and communication skills required for the purpose of developing
a bespoke programme of learning at diploma level. The writing of effective learning outcomes and the mapping of these to award outcomes will be discussed and developed as central to the negotiation process.
