The definitions of drugs types and the standards and legislation pertaining to paramedic practice.
The methods and responsibilities of paramedics when administering drugs to patients in their care.
The factors which influence drug absorption, metabolism, distribution, action and elimination.
The variables influencing drug interaction and patient allergic response. The action of drugs on the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine and gastrointestinal systems. Supportive and alternative therapeutic care for pharmacological interventions.
