Module Indicative Content
This module aims to enable you to understand and use different types of data and sampling techniques, plus the calculation, analysis and interpretation of relevant data using a variety of statistical techniques for a range of public health epidemiological studies.
You will critically and analytically study issues that are relevant to the basic concepts and methods of both statistics and epidemiology.

ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Students will be required to undertake TWO pieces of summative assessment for this module:
One 1500 word COURSEWORK ESSAY and attendance register (weighted at 50%) based on their theoretical knowledge and practical experience gained throughout the module to assess LOs 1,2, and 3
One 60 minute short answer examination, (weighted at 50%), to assess LOs 1-4.
You will need to pass BOTH pieces of assessment in order to pass the module.

Formative assessment will be given in the form of group tutorials and student will have the opportunity to practice exam questions
