Module Indicative Content
Working in a facilitated work based healthcare environment, employing reflexology, aromatherapy and massage
The management of statutory and voluntary sector practice settings
The role of the complementary therapist in total patient/client care, including client assessment and history taking and the development of a care plan Working within codes of ethics
The role of psychological aspects in complementary therapies
The use of professional terminology in practice to develop a shared understanding of professional language
Policies and procedures in an organisational context
Awareness of client confidentiality
Critical reflection in practice

A Portfolio (maximum 3,500 words) - 100% Weighting
Portfolio to include evidence of attendance, reflective log of activities, evidence of inter-professional working, reflection on the application of complementary therapies with the facilitated work-base healthcare environment and a SWOT analysis

A reflective log in which students critically reflect on key milestones in their development and experience whilst in practice
