ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
A 6000 word report on a current Health and Social care topic related to either practice or policy. To include a review of relevant literature, a critical analysis of the context and issues that are influencing current practice/policy, and the identification of how the practice/policy could be developed. weighted at 100% (assessing all LO's)

Additional Assessment Details (include formative feedback / assessment):
Students will be able to choose a current Health and Social Care topic area of interest to themselves or a topic from a list provided at the start of the module.
Students will be supported by an appropriate supervisor and given on-going formative feedback as part of a mechanism to develop their project.
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module enables you to study a topic of your choice in some depth and meets the care certificate standard 1, Understanding your role, as well as others, depending upon which topic you choose to study.
You will consider:
Analysis of current practice and policy.
Literature search skills and strategies.
Principles and practice of critical appraisal of evidence.
Conceptual frameworks.
Writing a literature review.
Presentation of study findings and their relevance to practice.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
