Module Indicative Content
This module encompasses all aspects of learner feedback, both informal (formative) and formal (summative), and explores the challenges to both teacher and learner when undertaking assessment in the workplace. The module explores models of providing feedback as well as addressing how to manage the challenging / failing learner
Module Learning Strategies
Contact Hours: (18)
14 hours taught session; 8 hours lectures / 3 hours seminars / 3 hours workshop
4 hours tutorial time; 2 hours workshop type; 2 hours individual

Learning activities will include a variety of teaching methods including experiental, case study, small group work, and role play. Peer led discussions will be encouraged in order to share experience, knowledge and understanding of teaching within the workplace whilst also assisting in the application of theory to the students' own teaching practice.

Independent directed learning will be presented on the theoretical perspectives of teaching practice

Blackboard will be utilised for students to receive information about the module, i.e. handbooks, presentations, useful information, and for students to gain tutor and peer support through the discussion forum
