- Ethical and Legal Frameworks and Accountability in Adult Safeguarding
- Making Professional Codes of Conduct Salient in Everyday Practice
- Safeguarding: Building Ethical Systems
- Clarifying Personal and Professional Values
- Giving Voice to Values using Scripts, Rehearsal, Mindfulness and Cognitive Training
- Getting out of our `Silos' what different disciplines can teach us about the prevention of abuse and neglect.
- Behaviour Change using the MINDSPACE framework: Messenger, Incentives, Norms, Defaults, Salience, Priming, Affect, Commitments and Ego.
- Putting it all together: developing a personal action plan
Module Additional Assessment Details
An Electronic Portfolio will consist of 4 elements:

1. A reflection on the utility of mindfulness training in thinking about safeguarding concerns (1000 words) 15% weighted (assesses LO's 1, 2 and 3)
2. An evidence based essay on the application of cognitive training in responding to safeguarding concerns (1000 words) 15% weighted (assesses LO's 1, 2 and 3)
3. A 'script' and action plan (with rationale) related to an identified safeguarding concern (1000 words) 15% weighted (assesses LO's 1, 2 and 3)
4. An essay demonstrating how an integrated governance approach might assist in developing a systems approach to safeguarding (3000 words) 55% weighted (assesses all LO's)

The overall mark will be the aggregate of the 4 elements

Additional Assessment Details (include formative feedback / assessment):
Formative feedback will be offered on plans for all elements of the portfolio.

Access to or working with service users and carers in a health and social care environment or similar voluntary role.
