This will enable assessment of the quality of teaching through peer evaluation and personal reflection, which will be linked to educational theory and concepts. The module is practically orientated and will draw upon insights from a number of teaching interactions including a video critique. This will enable detailed evaluation of the teaching styles, personal and professional preferences/qualities that shape the delivery of learning. This will include consideration of the diversity of learner characteristics and matters of equality and inclusion. It will also offer insights into the breadth of relational and contextual factors that shape teaching delivery. This will provide a platform for structured reflections upon how practice can be developed in the future to enhance the learning experience for students.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
The primary learning strategy utilised within this module is independent learning. The foundation and direction for your learning will be through the virtual learning environment, Blackboard. This will direct you to the key content and theoretical concepts. It provides a platform for your independent reading and reflection upon how the theory can be applied to your own teaching practice.
